Hemelse Patat’s / Sweetpotato Delight

Rista Greyvenstein se patat resep is voorwaar iets om te probeer....Dit is vir kinders definitief iets om voor te sit, veral as hulle langtand aan groente eet.

Resep
6 Patats
100g Bruinsuiker
50ml Goue stroop
1 pak Mini Marshmellows (wittes)
250ml Room
Pakkie gemmerkoekies - fyn gedruk of grof gebreek
30ml Amarula (of na smaak) opsioneel

Metode:
1. Kook patats in soutwater tot amper gaar.

2. Haal skille af . Sny in blokkies of sirkels.

3. Meng suiker, stroop, amarula en room.

4. Pak lae patats en koekies, gooi suiker- en roommengsel oor. Bak in matige oond – 180°C - tot sous dik word.

5. Haal uit en pak marshmallows bo-op. Sit onder die grill dat dit net oppof en bruin word.Dit lyk  pragtig!

RECIPE
6 Sweet Potato's
100 g Brown Sugar
50 ml Golden syrup
1 package mini marshmallows (white)
25 0ml Room
Package ginger - crushed or coarsely broken
30 ml Amarula (or to taste) optional

METHOD
1. Boil potatoes in salted water until almost cooked.

2. Remove peels. Cut into squares or circles.

3. Combine sugar, syrup, amarula and cream.

4. Arrange layers of potatoes and biscuits, pour sugar and cream mixture over. Bake in moderate oven - 180 ° C - until the sauce thickens.

5. Remove and pack marshmallows on top. Place under the grill untill the marshmallows browns and puff's  up. It looks beautiful!
